Ep #7: When Cyberbullying Leads to Suicide in Kids

Suicide is now the second leading cause of death in children and young adults ages 10-24. Recent studies show that bullying and Cyberbullying plays a large part in the dramatic increase in childhood suicides in recent years. In this episode, Dr. Hess sits down with Dianne Grossman, the mother of Molly Grossman, a beautiful young girl who died by suicide at the age of 12 in 2017. Molly was bullied relentlessly both on school grounds and on social media. While still in the early stages of grief Dianne started the organization Molly’s Army which strives to educate children, parents, teachers, school administrators, and the community at large about the devastating effects of Cyberbullying.
