Childhood 2.0 – Social Media Dangers Documentary

For the first time in history, mental illness and suicide have become one of the greatest threats to school-aged children. Many parents still view dangers as primarily physical and external, but they’re missing the real danger: kids spending more time online and less time engaging in real life, free play, and autonomy. What are the effects on the next generation’s mental, physical, and spiritual health? Childhood was more or less unchanged for millennia, but this is CHILDHOOD 2.0.

I was honored to be invited to participate in this documentary on such an important topic. Childhood 2.0 is required viewing for anyone who wants to better understand the world their children are navigating as they grow up in the digital age. Featuring actual parents and kids as well as industry-leading experts in child safety and development, this documentary dives into the real-life issues facing kids today — including cyberbullying, online predators, suicidal ideation, and more.

If you’ve been following me for a while no doubt you’ve heard me say the same words you’ll hear here. Allowing your kids to have social media access without monitoring and in their own private space is akin to allowing strangers to enter your house and your child’s bedroom.
